FAQs
Q: How far will you travel?
Anywhere!
I'm based in Somerset and shoot weddings all over the UK and internationally.
Q: When is my balance due?
30 days prior to your wedding day unless we have agreed otherwise.
Q: How many images will we receive?
Every wedding is different – if I see a great shot, I'll shoot it! I set no upper limit. For a full day's coverage you may expect to receive a minimum of 400 - 600 photos, each carefully edited and in high resolution.
Q: Can I pay by credit?
I do not offer credit payments.
Q: Can we meet up before we book?
I offer a no-obligation 30 minute consultation over Skype/Facetime to discuss my package and your ideas. If you think we may be a good fit, I subsequently offer to meet in person in Bristol or nearby on a weekday. Unfortunately I am unable to offer weekend meetings (as I’m usually shooting weddings!).
Q: Are you able to 'pencil us in'?
I am unable to hold dates open for couples as I frequently receive several enquiries for the same date and have this policy to ensure fairness across couples. To secure a date I require a deposit and completed booking form.
Q: Will you require food on the day?
If you are happy to offer food, a small meal would be greatly appreciated but this is by no means a requirement. Just let me know in advance and I can otherwise arrange to bring food with me.
Q: How much time will you spend with us on the day?
My usual Platinum package coverage is from two hours before the ceremony through to just after the first dance or 9pm. You'll have comprehensive coverage throughout the day. If you would like to extend coverage beyond the first dance to 11:30pm, I offer this as an additional extra.
Q: Do you need to see the venue beforehand?
If I haven't shot a wedding at your venue before I'll leave a little extra time to familiarise myself on the morning of your wedding. It's not necessary for me to visit the venue before the day itself - as a professional photographer I’'m very experienced dealing with new and unique settings. Should you feel this is essential, please do mention this at the booking stage and we'll organise a suitable date.
Q: Are you insured?
Yes – public liability and professional indemnity.
Q: How long does it take to receive our photos?
As soon as possible - typically within 3-4 weeks of your big day.
Q: What time do you arrive?
I arrive 2 hours before the ceremony time, which gives us plenty of time. If you’d like to extend morning covering please mention this at the point of booking.
Q: How much photoshop will be used?
Each photograph is individually selected then carefully, professionally edited. This means I may crop, straighten and adjust colour casts to correct artificial or poor natural lighting. I'll use my many years of professional editing experience to provide work of the standard you see in my gallery. I may also adjust certain photographs to black and white and this may be for a variety of reasons which I am happy to chat through with you. Rest assured your photographs will be of you looking beautiful on your wedding day – but let's keep photoshop itself limited to that stray piece of litter in the backdrop. All photographs will be free of a watermark.
Q: I'm worried about poor weather...
We'll embrace the great British weather! It's the one thing that we can't control so my advice is stay positive - there are also beautiful shots to be had indoors should the worst happen. Professionally speaking, the brightest sunshine can create the harshest of shadows - don’t worry, whatever the weather I'll guide you and your guests. If we get a break in the weather or particularly beautiful natural light such as at sunset, I'll let you know.
Q: Do you take group shots?
Of course! Although as a friendly word of warning, group shots can be lengthy to do and quickly become tiresome for you and your guests if you have a long list in mind. I recommend that we keep the planned formal shots to 10 - 12. This should be more than sufficient for those important family and friends photographs and one of the whole wedding party. Most importantly this allows you and your guests to enjoy your day and a happy wedding party leads to beautifully relaxed candid photos. Your ushers and best man can be very helpful during group shots by gathering your guests in preparation. If you’d like more, just let me know on your consultation forms which are sent one month before the wedding.
Q: Are you able to offer extended coverage?
Yes - this can be arranged before or after booking (or even on the day itself!). Please call or email me to chat through your special requirements.
Q: Do you archive our images?
Yes, I store my wedding photos on an external system although I strongly recommend that you also back up all the photos that you download and receive. As part of your photography package your private gallery is available for 12 months.
Q: Can you make us an album?
Certainly. I offer leather albums from £500. Please click here to find out more. You will be able to select your favourites and I will design the album from there. Albums can be added to your package at any stage - even after the big day itself.
Q: Is there anything you need us to do before our big day?
I would appreciate if you could double check that photographs are permitted during your ceremony at your venue. Some venues, particularly churches, may restrict my movements or not permit photography at all in religious settings. Should this be the case, I cannot accept responsibility for a lack of coverage. If my movements are restricted, I'll need a little time to select the most suitable vantage point.
Q: What if you can't attend?
In the extremely unlikely event that I am unable to attend your big day, I have a large network of professional photographers that could provide assistance and I then edit the collection.
A few testimonials…
Brad was simply amazing. From our first contact via email through to our engagement shoot and then on our big day. He was professional, friendly, and made us feel so relaxed throughout. We both work in the creative industry so had high expectations for our wedding photos. Brad surpassed our expectations. So many people at our wedding asked if Brad was one of our friends as he just blended in. We can’t recommend Brad highly enough.

Brad was absolutely fantastic at our wedding in France, he was very professional and made us feel so relaxed and at ease in his company and most of all laugh, even when I was crying and nervous! The photos are beyond this world and I love them. We are so happy we booked you for our wedding. I will recommend you to everybody! Simply stunning!
